BANGLADESH National Football Team reach to final of the !st Bongobondhu Gold Cup. The tigers beat the Thailand U23 team by 1-0 on Friday at Bongobondhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
The host fetched the historical victory with a superb goal by Nasir. Nasir Uddin scored on the 39th min from a corner by the captain Mamunul Islam.
Almost 30,000 supporters enjoyed the match at the stadium. The home side put the same starting eleven playing against Sri Lanka in the last group match. Thailand team made two changes for this semi final. Defender Selanon Nitipong and midfielder Bunsan Kitphom are in the place for Surawich and Chayawat respectively.
Bangladesh began the match with a positive note. The ball was seen in the Thailand's half most of the time. Midfielder Amily lead Bangladesh in most of the attacks.
Bangladesh won the the match with a dominating mood.
Bangladesh will meet Malaysia in the final on sunday at the same venue.
